Sharjah RTA Marine Works-First Marine Transit Project between Sharjah and Dubai

Sharjah RTA Marine Works located in AI Khan Lagoon, Sharjah, UAE, which can dock several large ferries at the same time, completed in July, 2019. The project marks the initial opening of marine transport services between Sharjah and Dubai.

The heavy - duty concrete pontoon adopted by Sharjah RTA Marine Works is a main floating pontoon with a size of 6000*80000 mm, the floating platform with a size of 2800*2800 mm and the gangway in aluminum 6061 T6 material size are 21000*3260 mm and 26000*3140 mm. Sharjah RTA Marine Works also used 500 mm plus 1000 mm aluminum frame total 1500 mm freeboard to fit RTA public vessel, which makes the whole project beautiful and solid. This marina is equipped with complete world - class utilities facilities and all of which provide by ROLEC.

After the completion of Sharjah RTA Marine Works, the launch of a ferry will service for passengers travelling between Aquarium Marine Station in Sharjah and Al Ghubaiba Marine Station in Dubai. The new marine route will boost cooperation between Sharjah and Dubai by providing more options for transport between the two emirates. It will reduce stress on the roads by providing a safe and fast marine transport solution.
